Rivers Crisis: Babangida, Lamido, kwankwaso and Nyako pays Gov. Amaechi a Solidarity Visit

The embattled governor of rivers state, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi received a boost in his face off with the presidency as Three northern governors, led by the chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Aliyu Babangida of Niger State paid Governor Rotimi Amaechi a solidarity visit. Along with Sule Lamido, an old ally of governor Amaechi (his alleged running mate for the 2015 presidential election). Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako and his Kano state counterpart Rabiu kwankwaso completes the team of visiting governors.
The visit of the governors is the latest among the ever growing number of individual lending moral support to the embattled governor amidst the staged unrest in his state allegedly being incited by the presidency and the first lady. It can be recalled that Nobel laureate professor Wole Soyinka recently chided the president and the first lady for trying to make rivers state ungovernable for governor Amaechi. The First Lady denied the claims and called the  Nobel Laureate an 'embarrassment' (I wonder who have been embarrassing the whole country with some irritating English and toutish behavior).
Security sources at the Port Harcourt airport are however reporting the presence of a group of political thugs presumed to had been deployed by an ex-militant chieftain. “Their mission appears to foment big trouble here,” a source said. Governor Amaechi was said to have remained in the VIP wing of the airport earlier today due to fears of an attack on his convoy.

The governors convoy was eventually stoned by the protesters when leaving the airport. But the governors got to the government house safely.
