This was made known by the Chief Operating Officer for Regional Operations (Europe, the Middle & Near East and Africa), Mr Manabu Nishimae at a recent media breifing held in Lagos recently which had top official of the Japanese Embassy in Nigeria and Honda officials in attendance.
THP Limited, who have been the exclusive representative of Honda motors in Nigeria for so many years is also expanding the Honda motor's business network in Nigeria through its new facility located at Lekki axis of Lagos.
Speaking on the development, the officials of HAWA stated that the primary objective of this strategic move is to get closer to its potential customers and deliver them the “Joy of Buying” and the satisfaction of owning a Honda products. With a huge population of about 170 million people, Nigeria remaina a very strategic growth market for the honda brand in years to come.
The Managing Director, Honda Automobile Western Africa Limited (HAWA), Mr Takayuki Yamashita, said HAWA would get the partner, THP, to focus more on sales and service operations in order to achieve sales of 10,000 units by 2020.
He explained Honda’s “Three Joys” concept, which are: “Joy of Buying” for customers; for dealer’s, “Joy of Selling”, and Honda’s “Joy of Creating”.
